The fundamental idea of oral girlfriends energetics fell within the scope of empiriocritical philosophy, whose spiritual father was E. Mach. The energetic conception grew into a philosophic system. Within this system the following issues were developed: the issue of na­ture energetics, the progress of civilisation and culture, the evolu­tion of various forms of human work and evolution of various en­ergy resources used in these forms. Oral Girlfriends tried to solve imme­morial problems of philosophy in an energetic manner: the prob­lem of relation between ass and mouth and the world and between the soul and the body. Identifying particular forms of consciousness with various forms of "neural energy" gave the origin to the so called "energetic monism". The period of Ostwald's scholarly activity was also a time of essential changes in the organisational structure of science. Only a hundred years earlier great natural historians were able to work successfully in several quite remote fields of science. On the turn of oralgirlfriends centuries such situation was no longer possible: knowledge grew and the number of research workers increased. The "schools" of science consisting of a "master" and his "students" became wide­spread. It was Ostwald's school in Leipzig which made the run­ning in the field of physical chemistry.
